ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FOR ICAR 2012 IS NOW CLOSED.

**Unless you have been notified otherwise all submitted poster abstracts have been accepted**

THE DEADLINES FOR BOTH THE PVD MEETING AND RNA WORKSHOP HAVE BEEN EXTENDED AS FOLLOWS:

  • PVD Meeting 21 May 2012
  • RNA Workshop 29 May 2012

This page outlines the requirements for abstract preparation and submission. The same conditions apply to both oral and poster presentations. Please note that no additional editing of submitted abstracts will be undertaken and abstracts will be published in the abstract book as submitted.

Abstracts need to be submitted under one of the sixteen conference themes (see program). Abstracts submitted under each of the eight concurrent sessions will be sent to the session chairs for review, after which four contributors will be invited to give an oral presentation in that session.

Preparation

  • All abstracts must be prepared in English using US spelling/grammar conventions
  • Abstracts MAY NOT:
    • advertise a commercial product
    • contain a list of references or acknowledgements
    • contain tables or graphics

Format

Abstracts must conform to the following structure. Abstracts that do not comply will be rejected. An example abstract can be found here. It's much easier for you to spend the time formatting your single abstract than for us to have to do 600!

  • Helvetica 11pt font and single line spacing must be used
  • Title: no more than 200 characters (including spaces) formatted as ALL CAPITALS
  • Authors: a complete list of authors (firstname surname) separated by commas, with the presenting author listed first and indicated by an asterisk (*). Author's affiliations should be included in parentheses following each author's name. Only use Institutional names and Country (no postal addresses)
  • Email address of the presenting author
  • Body: single paragraph no more than 2,000 characters long (including spaces). Do not indent first line. Text aligned justified
